Imagining Futures is delighted to invite abstracts for sessions at two upcoming conferences, addressing themes of community-engaged archiving and archaeological practice. The sessions are led by Imagining Futures Co-Investigators Dr Nancy Rushohora (University of Dar es Salaam) and Dr Valence Silayo (Tumaini University of Dar es Salaam College)
The first opportunity is to join the Pan-African Archaeological Association Conference in Zanzibar, Tanzania, from 7 to 12 August 2022. Abstracts are welcome under the session “Imagining Futures: Beyond Archives and Archiving.” Abstracts should be submitted by the end of January 2022 for consideration.
The second opportunity is to join the World Archaeological Congress in Prague, Czech Republic, from 3 – 8 July 2022. Abstracts are welcome under the session “Community Archaeology: Decolonising archaeological practices to empower descendant communities.” Abstracts should also be submitted by the end of January 2022.
