Jairo is in charge of implementing the infrastructure of the digital archive repository of Imagining Futures. This includes designing strategies for dealing with data and files before and after they are ingested into the repository, implementing digital sustainability for the project, and integrating data and files with subsequent projects.
Jairo is a historian of crime and justice in the region of the old jurisdiction of the New Kingdom of Granada, which includes parts of present-day Colombia, Panama, Venezuela, and Ecuador. He is also passionate about the practice, study, and teaching of Digital Humanities, particularly the implementation of pipelines for digitization, presentation, and preservation of archives and historical collections. Additionally, he has had the opportunity to work on several projects associated with e-learning in technical and university education.
