Ndesumbuka Merinyo is an artist, writer, designer and researcher in culture. He has published four books and various articles in magazines and newspapers in Tanznia. Together with his partner Ailinda Sawe, they established an art and cultural products company Afrika Sana in 1993. With Afrika Sana, the two established one of the strongest fashion brands in Tanzania, specializing in African fashion.
The current research project is aimed at archiving the traditional dressing cultures in various Tanzanian communities in the quest of enriching the fashion industry in Tanzania.
