Rigoberto Aguilar is a geologist working at the Geological, Mining and Metallurgical Institute of Peru (INGEMMET). He is interested in understanding the eruptive history of active volcanoes through geochemistry, geochronology and experimental volcanology in order to assess the volcanic hazards and develop communication strategies for increasing the resilience of communities to face disasters caused by natural hazards.
