Co-I and Consultant Prof. Dr. Necmi Aksoy graduated in Faculty of Forestry (Karadeniz Technical University) in 1996 and gained MSc and PhD in Istanbul University in Institute of Science, Department of Forestry, Forest Botany Program in the between 1999 and 2006. He is a full Professor in Forest Botany and works at the Department of Forest Botany at Düzce University Faculty of Forestry. He is a curator of the Herbarium of Düzce University Faculty of Forestry (DUOF), and a director of Botanical Garden of Düzce University with the aim of protecting biodiversity in the western Black Sea Region of Turkey.
