JC Niala (IF sub-project leader) is an anthropologist, curator and historian with an interest in African collections held in European museums. She is Acting Keeper for Anthropology at the Horniman Museum & Gardens in London, University of Exeter Honorary Research Fellow and a doctoral researcher at the School of Anthropology and Museum Ethnography, University of Oxford.
Recent projects include Rethinking Relationships and building trust around African collections and Community Action Research. She is sub-project leader on Tracing Nubian Archives through time in Kenya and the U.K. Her podcast series on African history can be found here & on iTunes.
